Morning Two-Car Accident at Sheep Creek and Smoke Tree Roads Sends 1 Driver to Hospital

 
PHELAN, CA (December 5, 2022) – A man was airlifted in a two-car accident at Sheep Creek Road and Smoke Tree Road in Phelan on Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 6:48 a.m. on December 2. According to the San Bernardino County Fire, a white sedan and Toyota Prius collided at the intersection.
 
Firefighters located the two cars 20 feef from the roadway, the white sedan had major driver-side damage while the Prius had minor front-end damage.
 
The male driver of the white sedan was extricated from the vehicle. Firefighters then requested a helicopter to land at a nearby Stator Bros shopping center.
 
Mercy Air helicopter transported the man to Antelope Valley Hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
The CHP is still investigating the cause of the crash and factors involved.
