Two-Vehicle Accident on Santa Ana Freeway, Luis Garcia Dead

 
SANTA ANA, CA (August 5, 2021) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Santa Ana early Saturday, July 31.
 
22-year-old Luis Manuel Salina Garcia was a Santa Ana resident, according to the Orange County coroner’s office.
 
The accident happened around 3:20 a.m. along the southbound 5 Freeway at 17th Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Honda Pilot and possibly a Mitsubishi collided for unknown reasons.
 
Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Paramedics rushed at least one person to Orange County Global Medical Center, the CHP said.
 
All traffic lanes at the site of the crash were re-opened at 5:58 a.m. However, CHP officials are still investigating the crash.
