5 Vehicles Collide on Costa Mesa Freeway Sending 3 People to Trauma Centers

 
COSTA MESA, CA (July 31, 2021) – Paramedics rushed three people to area trauma centers after a multi-vehicle accident on Costa Mesa (55) Freeway Saturday morning.
 
The accident happened around 11:25 a.m. on July 31, along the southbound lanes of the freeway at Victoria Street. According to the Costa Mesa Fire Department, five vehicles collided for unknown reasons.
 
When firefighters and paramedics arrived at the scene, they found five people involved. They transported three of them to area trauma centers for treatment of unspecified injuries.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
