Lorena Negrete Killed, 6 Hospitalized in Rear-End Accident on 215 Freeway [Moreno Valley, CA

Moreno Valley Crash on 215 Freeway Kills 34-Year-Old Woman

 
MORENO VALLEY, CA (November 13, 2021) – Lorena Negrete died in a two-vehicle accident on 215 Freeway in Moreno Valley Friday morning.
 
The accident happened just after 7:00 p.m. on November 12, near the eastbound 60 Freeway. According to the CHP, a Toyota Sienna minivan carrying eight people veered into the path of an Isuzu box truck causing a rear-end collision.
 
The minivan then spun out of control and crashed into a guardrail.
 
Negrete, a 34-year-old Ontario resident, died at the scene, according to the Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau. She was one of the minivan’s occupants.
 
Paramedics transported six others to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Isuzu truck was unharmed. He remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
At this time, the cause of the crash is still under investigation but alcohol was not believed to be a factor.
