Lisa Booth Hit and Killed by Van near Nees Avenue [Clovis, CA]

56-Year-Old Woman Dies after Struck by Van near Nees and Peach Avenues

 
CLOVIS, CA (January 12, 2023) – Lisa Booth was hit and killed by a van in Clovis Friday night on January 6.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 6:30 a.m. near Nees Avenue and Peach Avenue. According to the Clovis Police Department, Booth was on the south side of Nees Avenue crossing Peach Avenue in a marked crosswalk. A small utility van was making a southbound turn onto Peach from eastbound Nees when it struck Booth.
 
Paramedics responded and rushed Booth to a hospital in critical condition.
 
Despite life-saving efforts at the hospital, both died three days after. She was 56 years old.
 
The driver of the van stayed on scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
Police said neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
