Layne Lyssy Hospitalized after Accident on Scenic Avenue in Santa Rosa

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (April 29, 2021) – Officers identified Layne Lyssy and Cesar Lopez as two people who suffered serious injuries in a red-light accident on Scenic Avenue on April 26.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Stony Point Road around 6:15 AM.
 
Based on a report, a red Toyota pickup truck was east on Scenic at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it blew through a stop sign at Stony Point. Subsequently, Lyssy’s white Dodge Ram pickup traveling north on Stony Point broadsided the truck. Then, the Dodge crashed into an empty minivan.
 
As a result, 56-year-old Lyssy sustained serious injuries in the incident. In addition, 21-year-old Lopez who was driving the Toyota suffered a gash on his forehead and exhibited signs of a concussion. Immediately, paramedics transported the two victims to the hospital.
