Kody Cihal Arrested in DUI Accident on Girard Street [Hemet, CA]

DUI Crash at Girard Street and Menlo Avenue Injures 6 Pedestrians, Kody Cihal Arrested

 
HEMET, CA (October 12, 2022) – Police arrested Kody Ray Cihal for DUI after a crash that injured six pedestrians in Hemet late Saturday evening, October 8.
 
The crash happened just before 11:00 p.m. at Girard Street and Menlo Avenue, a residential area. According to the Hemet Police Department, the six victims had just left a party and were about to get in a car when another vehicle struck theirs.
 
Two women were trapped under a pickup. Officers found a jack and lifted the pickup off the women.
 
Paramedics transported all six victims to a hospital with moderate to significant injuries. One of the victims was 6 years old.
 
Cihal, a man in his 40s, was the driver of the other vehicle. Police arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence and child endangerment, among other crimes.
