Kevin Harrison Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Chester Avenue near Warren Avenue

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 5, 2023) — Kevin Harrison died in a pedestrian accident on Chester Avenue near Warren Avenue.
 
According to the Kern County Coroner’s Office, the 42-year-old pedestrian who died was Kevin Matthew Harrison.
 
Under unclear circumstances, a man driving northbound on Chester Avenue struck Harrison outside of a marked crosswalk. Harrison, of Weldon, Calif., passed away at the scene. The driver of the Chevrolet SUV pulled over and stayed for the investigation.
 
According to reports, the driver did not have the opportunity to make a quick evasion to avoid the imminent crash. Traffic investigators confirmed that neither drugs nor alcohol played a factor in the accident. If anyone has additional information, please call Bakersfield Police.
