Pickup Truck and SUV Collide on Highway 62 in Joshua Tree Killing One Driver

 
JOSHUA TREE, CA (March 15, 2023) – Katherine Loarie was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Joshua Tree Saturday afternoon on March 11.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:23 p.m. on Highway 62 at Sun View Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a white pickup truck and a silver SUV collided for unknown reasons.
 
Loarie, a 45-year-old Palo Alto resident, suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was one of the drivers.
 
The condition of the other driver was not immediately available.
 
It is unclear if there are passengers inside each vehicle. The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
