Justin Juniel Killed in Pedestrian Accident on State Street [Santa Barbara, CA]

40-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle at State Street and Broadmoor Plaza

 
SANTA BARBARA, CA (March 19, 2022) – Justin Howze Juniel was killed in a pedestrian accident in Santa Barbara on Monday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 8:30 p.m. on March 14 at the intersection of State Street and Broadmoor Plaza. According to the Santa Barbara Police Department, Juniel was attempting to cross State Street when a vehicle struck him.
 
The impact caused Juniel serious injuries. Responding paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he died Wednesday.
 
Juniel was a 40-year-old Santa Barbara resident, authorities said.
 
Police said DUI does not appear to be a factor in the accident. Further investigation is underway.
