Driver Justin Floyd Dies after Crashing into 4 Other Vehicles on 47th Avenue in Sacramento

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 30, 2022) – Justin Floyd died in a multi-vehicle accident in Sacramento on Wednesday afternoon, May 25.
 
The accident happened around 1:55 p.m. on May 25 at 47th Avenue and Steiner Drive. According to the California Highway Patrol, Floyd was driving a 2016 Maserati coupe westbound on 47th Avenue at approximately 90 mph. For unknown reasons, he lost control of the car while he approached Steiner Drive.
 
Floyd then turned left and hit the concrete median. The Maserati became airborne and hit four other vehicles waiting at the light on 47th Avenue at Steiner Drive before landing on its roof.
 
As a result of the crash, Floyd suffered major injuries. Paramedics rushed him to a hospital, where he later died. He was 35 years old, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
 
Four other people sustained minor injuries, three of them were taken to a local hospital.
 
An investigation into this crash is underway.
