Julio Infante Sought in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Monroe Street near Avenue 51

 
INDIO, CA (July 21, 2021) — Julio Infante remains a person of interest in Friday’s hit-and-run accident on Monroe Street near Avenue 51.
 
According to Indio police, the accident occurred around 11:48 p.m. just north of Avenue 51. For unknown reasons, a driver in a Dodge RAM pickup, registered by 47-year-old Infante, struck two people reportedly changing a tire.
 
Subsequently, the driver left the scene on foot toward Monroe Street. Soon after, paramedics arrived at the scene and brought the pair to Desert Regional Medical Center in critical condition.
