Coroner Identifies Jahmai Flores, Abigail Flores, and Julian Menedes-Guia Killed in East LA Car Crash

 
EAST LOS ANGELES, CA (April 11, 2022) – 21-years-old Julian Menedes-Guia, 19-years-old Abigail Flores and 18-years-old Jahmai Flores died in a car accident in East Los Angeles early Friday morning.
 
The accident happened around 12:30 a.m. on April 8 along Olympic Boulevard near Herbert Avenue. According to the CHP, the victims were in a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta going eastbound on Olympic Boulevard. They were approaching the intersection of Herbert Avenue at a high rate of speed.
 
After passing through the intersection, the Volkswagen veered to the right for unknown reasons and crashed into the south curb and a tree before catching fire.
 
As a result, Menedes-Guia, Abigail, and Jahmai died at the scene.
 
All were residents of East Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office website.
 
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation. As a result, authorities asked anyone with information to call the CHP at 323-980-4600.
