86-Year-Old Woman Dies after Crash with Another Vehicle in Hayward

 
HAYWARD, CA (March 27, 2023) – Julia Severino was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Hayward late Thursday afternoon on March 23.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:05 p.m. at Industrial Boulevard and Baumberg Avenue. According to the Hayward Police Department, Severino was driving her car when she collided with another vehicle.
 
Firs responders found Severino unconscious with multiple injuries inside her car. They rushed her to a hospital, where she later died.
 
Severino was 86 years old. Authorities said she had addresses in Hayward and Union City.
 
Meanwhile, the 54-year-old male driver of the other vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with police. He had complaints of pain, but it was not immediately known if he required medical treatment.
 
An unoccupied parked vehicle was also hit by at least one of the vehicles, but it was not clear which one.
 
An investigation is ongoing, but police did not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
