Julia Martinez Dies, Felix Gonzalez Charged in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Inyo Avenue near I Street

 
TULARE, CA (November 16, 2023) — Julia Martinez died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Inyo Avenue near I Street.
 
According to the Tulare Police Department, the deadly pedestrian accident happened around 6:30 p.m. Friday. For an unknown reason, 46-year-old Felix Octavio Brambila Gonzalez struck 41-year-old Martinez in the 100 block of West Inyo Avenue.
 
Rather than staying to help, Gonzalez left the scene but returned moments later. However, Martinez who suffered life-threatening injuries was already at the hospital where she died.
 
Following an investigation, officers ruled out alcohol and drugs as possible factors. At this time, Gonzalez faces charges of felony hit-and-run.
