Juan Cisneros Dead, Guermocindo Lopez Detained in DUI Accident on Cairo Street at Cesar Chavez Street

 
COACHELLA, CA (December 16, 2021) — Juan De Dios Cisneros died in a DUI crash on Cairo Street at Cesar Chavez Street on Monday evening.
 
According to officials, the fatal two-car accident occurred around 8:20 p.m. For DUI-related reasons, 33-year-old Guermocindo Gonzalez Lopez collided with a full-size GMC Sierra pickup truck at the intersection. Per the investigation, the pickup broadsided Lopez’s red Chevrolet Camaro on the passenger side.
 
The impact fatally injured 30-year-old Cisneros. Family have set up a GoFundMe account for his surviving family.
 
Shortly after, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office responded to the scene, and paramedics brought Lopez to Desert Regional Hospital for treatment. However, police arrested Lopez and booked him into John Benoit Detention Center in Indio after observing signs of intoxication.
 
At this time, the crash requires more investigation. Although, anyone with more information should contact the police.
