Joseph Mcconchie Killed in Car Accident on East Carson Street [Lakewood, CA]

Car Crashes into Tree in Lakewood Killing the Driver and Sending Passenger to Hospital

 
LAKEWOOD, CA (October 17, 2023) – Joseph Mcconchie was killed in a car accident in Lakewood Monday evening on October 16.
 
The fatal accident happened around 7:20 p.m. at the intersection of East Carson Street and Clubhouse Drive, near Lakewood Golf Course. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Mcconchie was driving a white sedan with a female passenger. For unknown reasons, he crashed the car into a tree.
 
Mcconchie suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was 46 years old and was homeless, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
 
Meanwhile, his passenger was taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
 
It is unknown if speed or alcohol were factors. An investigation is ongoing.
