Authorities Identify Pedestrian Killed on Pacific Highway in Mission Valley

 
MISSION VALLEY, CA (March 1, 2023) – Joseph Michael Jorge Jacoby was killed in a pedestrian accident in the Mission Valley area on February 14.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:52 p.m. in the 4800 block of Pacific Highway. According to the San Diego Police Department, Jacoby was walking in the street when a vehicle traveling northbound on the same roadway struck him.
 
When authorities arrived, they attempted to revive the 38-year-old victim. Sadly, he did not make it and was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
An investigation into this fatality is ongoing. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
