36-Year-Old Man Suffers Major Injuries after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Jamestown

 
Jamestown, CA (October 15, 2023)Joseph M. Altieri was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in Jamestown Wednesday evening on October 11.
 
The crash happened around 8:35 p.m. on Main Street near Humbug Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 36-year-old victim from Jamestown was walking in the area when a 2002 Lincoln LS sedan struck him.
 
As a result, Altieri suffered major injuries. An air ambulance took him to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto in an unknown condition.
 
After the crash, the driver drove away from the scene.
 
The crash is still under investigation. The Sonora Area CHP Office urged anyone with information to call them at 209-984-3944.
