Man and Woman Die after Two Vehicles Collide in Sun Village

 
SUN VILLAGE, CA (March 4, 2024) – Jose Maldonado and Daphne Maldonado were killed in a two-vehicle accident in Sun Village Sunday evening on March 3.
 
The fatal accident happened around 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of East Avenue T and 106th Street East. According to the California Highway Patrol, the victims were in a vehicle that collided with another car.
 
First responders found the pair trapped inside their vehicle. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
 
Jose Maldonado was 83 years old and Daphne Maldonado was 87, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.
 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
