31-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Car at 20th Street and West Avenue N

 
PALMDALE, CA (May 14, 2023) – Jose Marco Gonzalez-Olivares died in a hit-and-run crash in Palmdale late Thursday evening on May 11.
 
The fatal crash happened around 11:19 p.m. at 20th Street and West Avenue N. According to the California Highway Patrol, a dark gray 2009 Honda Civic struck Gonzalez-Olivares at the intersection and drove away from the scene.
 
Gonzalez-Olivares was pronounced dead at the scene. He was 31 years old, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
 
Officers said the suspect vehicle lost its front bumper, license plate and a windshield wiper in the crash. They also believe it has hood and windshield damage.
 
Anyone with information about the suspect vehicle and driver is encouraged to call 911.
