FRESNO, CA (April 20, 2022) – Police are now looking for 27-year-old Jose Garcia following a hit-and-run accident on Shaw Avenue on April 12.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 17th Avenue. Based on a report, officers made a traffic stop in the area when Garcia took off as officers approached.
 
Officials said officers flagged the suspect’s vehicle as armed and dangerous. In the end, the pursuit led to the vehicle suddenly losing control and veering into the westbound lanes of Shaw Avenue. Then, Garcia accelerated head-on into a patrol car.
 
As a result, two officers in the car sustained minor injuries in the incident. Paramedics transported them to the hospital for treatment.
 
In the end, officers apprehended Garica. At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. Also, no other details are available.
