Man Dies after ATV Crashes into Pole in Cloverdale

 
CLOVERDALE, CA (July 18, 2023) – Jorge Figueroa was killed in an ATV crash in Cloverdale Sunday evening on July 16.
 
The fatal crash happened just after 7:00 p.m. on River Road near Highland Ranch Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, Figueroa and his 71-year-old family member were riding west on a gravel road toward River Road. The ATV was traveling too fast as it approached a gate.
 
Figueroa attempted to turn left on the gravel road when the vehicle crashed into a wire fence and pole.
 
Both Figueroa and his uncle were ejected from the ATV.
 
Figueroa suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was a 40-year-old Cloverdale resident. His uncle sustained minor injuries.
 
Neither of the two men was wearing a helmet, the CHP said.
