Thanksgiving Day Rollover Crash on Highway 94 in San Diego Leaves Four People Dead

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 27, 2023) – Jonathan Torres, Linet Manasyan, Nally Tamara Espinoza and Ivan Aniceto Torres died in a rollover accident in downtown San Diego early Thursday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 2:25 a.m. on eastbound Highway 94, just west of Home Avenue. According to the CHP, a black BMW M3 lost control near the 15 Freeway overcrossing. It then struck an embankment and overturned several times, ejecting four occupants of the car.
 
All four of them were pronounced dead at the scene.
 
San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Torres, a 26-year-old San Diego resident; Manasyan, a 33-year-old Imperial Beach resident; Espinoza, a 20-year-old National City resident; and Torres, a 35-year-old man from Chula Vista, as the fatal victims.
 
A 22-year-old female passenger from San Marcos sustained minor injuries. CHP officials said she was the only occupant wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The county’s Medical Examiner’s Office will perform a toxicology report to determine if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash.
