30-Year-Old Jonathan Ojeda Dies after UTV Crash near Highway 4 in Martinez

 
MARTINEZ, CA (January 24, 2024) – Authorities identified 30-year-old Jonathan Ojeda of Bay Point as the man killed in a UTV crash near Highway 4, Sunday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on January 21, at about 11:00 a.m. A Can-Am utility task vehicle – a type of off-road vehicle – attempted to turn on a wet and muddy road.
 
The vehicle then crashed into a chain-link fence near the area of Wolcott Lane and Franklin Canyon Road.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the driver, Ojeda, dead at the scene.
 
Two passengers reportedly did not sustain injuries. Their identities were not released.
