Jesus Chavez Killed in Off-Road Accident on Victoria Avenue [Highland, CA]

ATV Driver Dies after Colliding with SUV at Victoria Avenue and 3rd Street

 
HIGHLAND, CA (May 10, 2021) – Jesus Armando Chavez was killed in an off-road accident Tuesday evening in Highland.
 
The accident happened around 9:39 p.m. on May 4, at the intersection of Victoria Avenue and 3rd Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 26-year-old San Bernardino man was driving an off-road ATV when he collided with an SUV for unknown reasons.
 
The impact ejected Chavez from the vehicle. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
There was one passenger in the ATV, but the condition of that person was not immediately available. It is also unknown if the driver of the SUV sustained injuries after the crash.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the accident to determine the ultimate cause and factors involved.
