79-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Armory Road in Barstow

 
BARSTOW, CA (November 29, 2021)Jerry Lee Ellington died in a pedestrian accident in Barstow on Wednesday, November 17.
 
The accident happened around 6:08 p.m. on November 17, in the parking lot of Stater Bros. Markets off Armory Road. According to the Barstow Police Department, a vehicle struck Ellington in the area in unclear circumstances.
 
The impact caused Ellington fatal injuries and he died at the scene at 6:19 p.m. He was a 79-year-old Barstow resident, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner.
 
Meanwhile, the involved driver remained on scene.
 
Multiple residents who witnessed the crash had complaints about hazards on local roads.
 
BPD’s investigation is ongoing and that no arrests had been made at this time.
