DUI Crash in Santa Maria Critically Injures One

SANTA MARIA (September 04, 2023) — Late Wednesday night, a two-vehicle crash critically injured at least one person and led to the arrest of a Santa Maria man. The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of North Railroad Avenue and West Taylor Street.

Responding to the scene, local emergency services such as the Santa Maria Police and Fire departments and an AMR ambulance arrived promptly. Authorities arrested Jeremy Simangan, a 40-year-old Santa Maria resident, suspecting alcohol influence as a factor in the crash.
