Jeffrey Blain Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Garden Highway near Gateway Oaks Drive

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 26, 2024) — Jeffrey Blain died in a pedestrian accident on Garden Highway near Gateway Oaks Drive.
 
According to Sacramento Police, the pedestrian accident happened around 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. For an unknown reason, a driver struck 59-year-old Blain while he was walking along the 1400 block of Garden Highway. As a result, Blain suffered major injuries in the crash.
 
Shortly after, Sacramento Fire Department paramedics arrived, but Blain passed away from his injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and was not believed to be impaired.
 
At the time of the report, traffic investigators did not say the cause of the crash but ruled out alcohol as a possible factor.
