GRASS VALLEY, CA (June 24, 2022) — Jeanette Polino and Gregory Gulizia suffered injuries after their truck crashed into a tree on Rough and Ready Highway at Ridge Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the single-car accident happened around 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday. For possible DUI-related reasons, 47-year-old Polino lost control of her 2008 Nissan Titan, which left the road and struck a tree.
 
Since the Colfax resident did not have a seatbelt on, she suffered a neck fracture, broken pelvis and leg. Shortly after, paramedics arrived and airlifted her to Sutter Roseville Medical Center for treatment.
 
Polino’s 46-year-old passenger wearing a seatbelt — Gulizia — suffered minor wounds.
 
At this time, investigators have more to investigate. However, an ongoing investigation should confirm any outstanding details.
