7-Year-Old Boy Dies after Struck by Truck near Colton High School

 
COLTON, CA (September 18, 2023)Jayce Board was hit and killed by a truck in Colton Thursday on September 14.
 
Board was helping his mother set up for a cheerleading fundraiser before heading to a football practice at Colton High School. When he exited his car and began crossing the street towards the high school, another vehicle came around and struck him in the road.
 
First responders rushed Board to a hospital, where he died on Saturday morning, two days after he was struck.
 
Board was 7 years old. He was a member of the Colton Yellowjackets Youth Football League.
 
The family said police ruled the crash as an accident. The driver responsible may also be a parent of one of the boy’s teammates.
 
A GoFundMe campaign has been created to help the Board family with funeral expenses.
