Jason Hernandez Dies after Struck by Vehicle at 5th and Cooley Streets

 
EAST VALLEY, CA (May 30, 2022) – Jason Matthew Hernandez was killed in a pedestrian accident in the East Valley neighborhood of San Bernardino on Saturday evening.
 
The accident happened around 8:56 p.m. on May 28 at 5th Street and Cooley Street. According to the San Bernardino Police Department, Hernandez was crossing the intersection when a vehicle struck him.
 
As a result, Hernandez suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene around 9:04 p.m. He was a 33-year-old San Bernardino resident.
 
It is unclear at this time if the involved driver has stayed after the crash. It is also unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
 
An investigation into this accident is ongoing.
