67-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Sedan in National City

 
NATIONAL CITY, CA (February 1, 2023) – James Stuart was killed in a pedestrian accident in National City late Sunday afternoon on January 22.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:45 p.m. in the 3000 block of East 11th Street. According to reports, Stuart was walking in the area when a Honda sedan struck him.
 
The driver of the Honda pulled over and called 911.
 
Paramedics arrived soon after and rushed Stuart to Scripps Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about three hours later.
 
The victim was a 67-year-old San Diego resident, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
 
At this time, an investigation into this fatality is ongoing.
