Jajayra Silas Involved in Deadly Pedestrian Crash on Highway 178 near Niles Street

 
KERN COUNTY, CA (January 6, 2023) — Jajayra Silas was involved in a fatal pedestrian accident on Highway 178 near Niles Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened early Tuesday. For unknown reasons, an unidentified individual was walking in the traffic lanes of the Kern County River Canyon. Subsequently, 33-year-old Silas struck the pedestrian with his westbound 2019 Mercedes.
 
The man, wearing dark clothing, suffered major injuries and died later at the scene. Arriving authorities ruled out drugs and alcohol as possible factors in the accident.
