Motorcyclist Dies after Crashing into Disabled Car in Emerald Hills Neighborhood

 
EMERALD HILLS, CA (January 9, 2024) – Jadahn Schaefer was killed in a motorcycle accident in the Emerald Hills neighborhood of San Diego on Friday evening on January 5.
 
The fatal accident happened around 10:30 p.m. on Highway 94 near Kelton Road. According to the CHP, Schaefer was riding his motorcycle when he crashed into a disabled vehicle along the eastbound lanes of the highway.
 
Responding paramedics attempted saving Schaefer, but he died from blunt force injuries of the torso.
 
Schaefer was a 27-year-old Lemon Grove resident, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor. Further investigation is underway.
