Injuries Reported in Chula Vista Hit-and-Run Crash on Broadway

 
CHULA VISTA, CA (June 15, 2021) — Several injuries resulted in a hit-and-run accident on Broadway near Vance Street Sunday night.
 
According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the accident happened at Robert’s Taco Shop on Broadway. For DUI-related reasons, a woman backing out of a parking lot struck another vehicle. However, as the driver of the second car got out to exchange information, the woman became argumentative. Subsequently, two men, whose relationship to the woman remains unknown, began attacking the driver of the second vehicle while the woman fled the scene.
 
After traveling at high speeds down Broadway, the suspect reportedly struck a second vehicle and an abandoned building. However, as she tried to flee her car, police found and arrested her.
 
As of now, the suspect faces DUI and hit-and-run charges while the woman involved in the second crash and the driver of the first sustained unknown injuries.
