Hudson Standley Killed after Police Chase Ends in Accident on Springs Road [Vallejo, CA]

58-Year-Old Hudson Standley Dies after Car Crash on Springs Road near Tregaskis Avenue

 
VALLEJO, CA (September 6, 2023) – Authorities identified 58-year-old Hudson Standley as the driver killed in a crash on Springs Road, Wednesday evening.
 
According to the Vallejo Police Department, the incident happened on August 30, at about 5:40 p.m. Officers spotted a Toyota Avalon that matched the description of a vehicle reported to be involved in multiple armed robberies.
 
A pursuit started on the 3300 block of Tennessee Street, but officers lost sight of the suspect near Mosswood Avenue.
 
A short time later, the Toyota Avalon hit a Toyota Tundra near Tregaskis Avenue. The impact of the collision caused the Tundra to spin into a parked car and overturn.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the Tundra driver, Standley, dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Avalon fled the scene on foot. Officers found an injured female passenger in the Avalon. She was transported to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
 
Vallejo police is asking anyone with information about the fleeing driver to call Corporal Kenneth Trimble by phone at (707) 648-4011.
