Highway 58 Shut Down in Multi-Car Crash in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 30, 2023) — Officials closed Highway 58 following Monday’s multi-car accident near Chester Avenue.
 
According to reports, the multi-vehicle collision happened around 9:07 a.m. on the westbound side of the highway. For unknown reasons, several cars collided, including a big rig, a cement truck and a car.
 
Reports did not say if anyone reported any injuries in the crash. However, officials had to divert traffic at Union Avenue due to westbound Highway 58 being closed.
