9-Year-Old Among 3 Hospitalized in Rollover Accident on Highway 58 in Caliente

 
CALIENTE, CA (March 30, 2023) — A 9-year-old was among three people injured in Monday’s rollover crash on Highway 58 near Bealville Road.
 
According to the Kern County Fire Department, the single-car crash happened around 5:30 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver of a vehicle lost control and crashed down an embankment, causing the vehicle to roll over several times.
 
Kern County Fire Department officials arrived soon after and found three people at the scene, including a 9-year-old child who was ejected during the impact. Since the vehicle was located approximately 100 feet from the roadway, firefighters used a rope system to lift patients to safety.
 
Paramedics treated the patients before taking them to a local hospital for treatment of injuries.
 
Officials did not provide an update on the child’s condition. However, we will update this report once we receive more information.
