Homeless Man Dies after Struck by Minivan on Highway 138 near Longview Road

 
PEARBLOSSOM, CA (November 6, 2022)Henry Lanaro was killed in a pedestrian accident in Pearblossom on Thursday morning, November 3.
 
The fatal accident happened round 6:40 a.m. on Highway 138, just east of Longview Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 29-year-old victim was walking in the area when a 2012 Honda Odyssey that was traveling eastbound on the highway struck him.
 
As a result, Lanaro suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was homeless, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
 
The Honda Odyssey’s driver, 56-year-old Edda M. Guerra of Palmdale, did not sustain any injuries from the crash.
 
This fatality is under investigation. It is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs played a role in the crash.
