Heather Bruehl Hurt, Lawrence Beste Involved in Pedestrian Crash on Highway 108 near Old Wards Ferry Road

 
SONORA, CA (October 5, 2021)Heather Bruehl suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Highway 108 near Old Wards Ferry Road Monday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened around 9:00 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, 85-year-old Lawrence Beste struck 40-year-old Bruehl with his Cadillac SUV at speeds of 55 miles per hour.
 
As a result, Bruehl sustained major injuries, which spurred paramedics to airlift her to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto for treatment. Meanwhile, authorities interviewed Beste, of Jamestown, to learn that DUI did not play a factor in the accident.
 
At this time, officials plan to investigate this case more closely to understand the circumstances. Therefore, anyone with more information should contact the CHP.
