Gridley Car Crash with Semi-Truck, Driver Hayden Graves Dead

 
GRIDLEY, CA (November 19, 2021) – A teen driver was killed in a semi-truck accident on Highway 99 in Gridley late Monday, November 8.
 
Police identified the victim as 19-year-old Hayden Graves of Live Oak, according to the Butte County Coroner’s Office.
 
The accident happened around 10:50 p.m. on Highway 99 at Wright Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, Grave drove a Chrysler 300 that lost control while traveling south on Highway 99.
 
Paramedics responded and confirmed Graves dead at the scene.
 
Crews closed the highway at Wright Avenue in both directions Monday from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Tuesday due to the crash. Southbound traffic was being diverted off the highway at Township Road.
 
At this time, the circumstances of the accident remain under investigation.
