48-Year-Old Woman Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver in Lancaster

 
LANCASTER, CA (September 11, 2024) – Guillermina Valencia was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Lancaster Monday evening on September 9.
 
The fatal crash happened around 10:30 p.m. at Third Street East and Avenue I. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Valencia was walking north in a marked crosswalk when a red four-door sedan struck her.
 
After the crash, the driver of the sedan did not stop to render aid.
 
Valencia was pronounced dead at the scene. She was 48 years old.
 
It was unknown if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash, which is under investigation.
 
Anyone with further information on the case was urged to call traffic investigators at the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station at 661-948-8466.
