Guadalupe Tijerina, Gabriel Jastram, Ann Von Zastrow Hurt in 2-Car Crash on Highway 41 near Road 406

 
MADERA, CA (May 19, 2022) — Three people were injured in a 2-car accident on Highway 41 near Road 406 on Monday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-car accident happened around 5:50 p.m. For unknown reasons, 52-year-old Guadalupe Olivia Tijerina made an unsafe turning movement in a 2008 Honda Accord.
 
As a result, her southbound Honda crossed over the double yellow line at an unknown speed and crashed into a northbound 2020 GMC Canyon. Due to the impact, the Honda crashed into a rock embankment.
 
Soon after, firefighters arrived and extricated Tijerina from her vehicle and airlifted her to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for treatment of major injuries.
 
As for 26-year-old Gabriel Ignacio Rodriguez Jastram, of Frankfurt, Germany, and his female passenger Ann Sophie Von Zastrow, the GMC occupants reported only minor injuries in the crash.
 
At this time, investigators do not suspect alcohol or drugs to have played a factor in the accident. However, an investigation should confirm any outstanding details.
