1 Hurt in Hit-and-Run Bike Crash on Outer Highway 18 in Apple Valley

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (November 25, 2024) — One person was injured in a hit-and-run bicycle accident on Outer Highway 18 near Tao Road.
 
According to the Apple Valley Police Department, the bicycle crash happened around 6:00 p.m. on November 21. For an unknown reason, the driver left the scene after hitting a bicyclist on Outer Highway 18, west of Tao Road. Subsequently, Apple Valley Police responded to the scene near Desert Knolls Center to find a man on the road with a bike in two pieces.
 
From there, REACH helicopter arrived moments later to airlift him to an out-of-area hospital.
