Car Accident on South Cooley Drive in Colton Kills 1 and Injures 2

COLTON, CA (April 11, 2021) – A girl died in a car accident on South Cooley Drive in Colton Sunday afternoon, April 11.
Around 2:25 p.m., officers responded to the crash in the 900 block of South Cooley Drive. When they arrived, they located three people inside the wrecked vehicle.
Firefighters and paramedics transported all three patients to a local hospital, where the girl succumbed to her injuries, according to the Colton Police Department.
A preliminary investigation reveals the car was traveling south on Cooley Drive when it left the roadway and crossed over a raised center median, police said. The car then collided with an electrical pole and came to rest in the north lane of Cooley Drive.
Neither identifying information for the girl nor the conditions of the other two victims were immediately available.
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation. Police encouraged anyone with further information to call them at 909-370-5000.
