Two Off-Road Motorcycles Collide in Big Bear Lake, 1 Rider Killed and Other Seriously Injured

 
BIG BEAR LAKE, CA (April 12, 2021)Austin Dubuque was killed in an off-road motorcycle accident in the 200 block of South Eureka Drive in Big Bear Lake.
 
The accident happened shortly after 7:35 p.m. on Friday, April 2, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
 
The department said two men were riding off-road motorcycles when they crashed for unknown reasons. Both were ejected from their motorcycles and suffered major injuries.
 
Emergency personnel airlifted the 26-year-old Big Bear Lake resident to a local medical center for treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, Dubuque did not survive and was declared dead.
 
The other victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and was later flown to a regional medical center for further treatment.
 
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
