Vehicle Crashes at Pizza Shop near Union Road in Manteca

 
MANTECA, CA (November 21, 2023) – Four people were injured in a DUI crash near Union Road and Yosemite Avenue in Manteca Sunday evening.
 
According to the Manteca Police Department, a vehicle was speeding northbound on Union Road when it crashed into Jack’s Pizza and Bar. It also slammed into a power pole.
 
The driver of the vehicle, an Oakland woman, had two small children in the vehicle. Police said the children, one of whom is an infant, were secured in their car seats, sustained no injuries, and were released to their father.
 
Four people in the pizza shop suffered moderate to severe injuries, but all are in stable condition.
 
The driver sustained minor injuries. She was suspected of driving under the influence and was arrested.
 
The circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
