Suspected DUI Accident on 20th Street in Desert Hot Springs Sends 4 People to Hospital

 
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (October 11, 2021) – Four people were hurt in a suspected DUI accident on 20th Street in Desert Hot Springs early Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened around 2:31 a.m. on October 10, near Palm Drive. According to the Desert Hot Springs Police Department, a 21-year-old Desert Hot Springs man was driving a white Lexus westbound on 20th Street. He ran a stop sign at the intersection and broadsided a southbound white Chevrolet.
 
As a result, the driver of the Lexus suffered major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the 36-year-old female driver of the Chevrolet from Thousand Palms and her two children complained of pain.
 
Paramedics transported all four people to a hospital for treatment.
 
Police said alcohol appears to have played a role in the crash, which is under investigation.
