Felipe Beltran-Salgado Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Highway 74 near Amanda Avenue

 
WINCHESTER, CA (August 17, 2023) — Felipe Beltran-Salgado died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 74 near Amanda Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Bureau, the deadly incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. For unknown reasons, a 59-year-old Hemet man driving an eastbound Freightliner tractor-trailer struck 34-year-old Beltran-Salgado.
 
Upon impact, the Pasadena man was thrown in a southeasterly direction to the road’s shoulder.
 
Moments later, CHP and emergency personnel arrived and took him to Loma Linda Medical Center – Murrieta. However, after less than an hour, Beltran-Salgado passed away.
 
Reports did not confirm if the Freightliner driver reported any injuries or if impairment played a part. However, an investigation into these ambiguous details should provide more information.
